Proverbs 20:15 tell us, “Gold there is, and rubies are in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.”
What would become of ordinary classrooms if in every moment of every day, there were an intentional endeavor to speak gems of life to those who share our path? If emeralds of God’s hope sparkled in a genuine “good morning”; if diamonds of God’s promise were whispered to that student whose life was interrupted this summer by a parent’s choice; if the gold goodness of the Gospel of Christ were delivered in the kindness that leads to repentance, rather than in the cruelty of an, “I told you so”?
“A Rare Jewel” is a journey to the first day of school. From wherever you are. No matter the start date, now is the time to prepare yourself –your soul for the school year ahead. Now is the time to hear and declare the plan God has for you for this season and beyond.
For the next few weeks, we will mine the treasure of God’s word, align our soul with His goodness, turn our heart toward His shelter, welcome His daily provision of fresh mercy; dive deeply into his armament so that we are prepared to serve and be served; to educated and be educated, to ultimately introduce our students and their loved ones to the magnificence and holiness of Christ.
Thank you for walking with me.
